Laynee Bug

Laynee at age10

- Loves her daddy.

- Is emotional-a girl thing I'm sure.

- Has started actually looking in the mirror once she is dressed and ready. She kills me in the morning worrying about her hair. I was the same way when I was her age!

- Prefers t-shirts and shorts over dresses any day.

-Wears tennis shoes with almost everything-I have to "let it go" because most of the time it really isn't even worth it. She does have a new found love for boots.

- Loves reading.

- Is the best big sister to both of her brothers but really babies Avery.

- Is all legs, hence the nickname from her daddy-"legs".

- Loves pizza, chocolate cake, ice cream.

- Eats spaghetti with only noodles, parmesaen cheese and meat, no sauce. yuck!

- Is a tomboy.

- Loves to jump on the trampoline.

- Dislikes riding her bike.

- Loves helping others.

Such a BIG boy!

Dear Avery,

These past two weeks you have had your paci taken from you, your cast removed  and started potty training. You have done it all with ease. Talk about a proud momma!
I took your paci on sunday the 23rd of March and refused to give it back to you. I tried mailing it off for a surprise but you quickly broke down and left me no choice but to cut it. You cried for two hours straight but fell asleep once I laid down with you. You told everyone that I broke your paci (#truth) even though I didn't cut it in front of you! It broke my heart so muc that daddy decided to tell you that paci's just break once you become a big boy and no longer need them-it didn't work. You quickly reminded us that I broke it.
You did so well at the doctors office having your cast removed that I almost started crying cause I felt like one of us needed too. Once the cast was removed we started potty training. You have done really well and surprised us all. You had a seriously bad stomach virus for two days but we managed. I'm so proud of how well you are taking on being a BIG boy!

Love,
momma

Raining on Sunday

March 16, 2004 we welcomed a precious little girl into our lives. 10 years later, she is the most sensitive, caring, tender hearted little girl you will meet. Its hard to believe ten years have passed. As we woke up on sunday and ate breakfast I told her it was raining 10 years ago on her birth-day as her daddy drove us to the hospital. We celebrated by breakfast at Huddle house-yuck, lunch at home and dinner at Logans with some of her favorite people.

This past saturday we celebrated with a party! She told me all week that she wouldn't feel ten until she had her party. Her only request was to have several friends over so I decided to do a fun little sewing activity I found on pinterest. The girls had alot of fun, Laynee on the other hand was not into it and requested that I sew her letter on and Wendy ended up putting the rest of the decorations on it. They did turn out cute. This was the first party I did no decorations. I set the table for the girls, and hung some lights and a banner and that was it. We served pizza, chip/dip, ice cream cake and chocolate fudge cake along with lemonade, sweet tea and capri suns. Connor kept asking where all the party decorations...it was simply and less stressful for me. ;)

 Happy 10th, Laynee!

A party for you, Levi!

Due to Levi being at his mom's on his birthday and the weekend after we celebrated his birthday a little late. His request was a chocalate cake and it did not disappoint!

Trying to make him smile...he has a thing about not smiling for the camera but I somehow manage to get atleast one out of him

It was also the p-e-r-f-e-c-t day to play outside. Adam got out HIS BB gun and made a target out of an old box and away they went!

Happy 12th Birthday, Levi! I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

My Story-Part I

In 2003, I weighed a whopping 104 and had just found out I was pregnant with Laynee.
From that point on  unknowly to me my weight gain story was beginning.
From the beginning I was petite. All through school I could and would eat anything I wanted and never gained any weight. Being pregnant with Laynee I did the same thing. During that pregnancy I gained 24 lbs, making me 9 months pregnant and weighing in at 128, I felt huge! After Laynee I knew I didn't want to be that "skinny girl" anymore but never knew that weight would become an issue for me. I lost down to a comfortable size for me and remained that weight for maybe a year and then the weight started appearing out of no where. In 2006 we found out we were expecting Connor and that's when the real weight issues started. During this pregnancy I felt the prettiest but was the biggest I had ever been!?! I never lost any of that weight until years later. I was going to Slim Savvy, using money we really didn't need to spend on a "weight loss" doctor, taking diet pills that made me so moody and had lost 15lbs. I was so proud that I had lost that much!I had been told by another doctor (not my ob) that birth control pills also had a role in weight gain so I quit taking them, we were on the fence on if we wanted another baby so it wasn't that big of a deal, we would just "be careful". I was at the stage were I had baby fever but we weren't quite ready for another one (if you ever are). 15lbs down and I was pregnant again. During my pregnancy with Avery I managed to keep my weight down and still have our biggest baby! I had only gained 9lbs the whole pregnancy! After Avery I lost down to where I started and called myself watching what I was eating but really wasn't keeping track. That leaves me where I am now, MY biggest weight, weighing more now than with any of my pregnancy. My energy level is at zero level. I am trying my best to watch what I eat and have now started a slim in 6 workout video. I have been working out a couple days a week and if my 2 year old would actually sleep at night I swear I would already feel better. No weight loss yet but I have lost 1 inch off my waist. Its not much but its a start! Point is you have to START! I hope me blogging about my weight loss will help others see you are not along, alot more people than you think struggles with weight issues, you CAN lose weight AND I hope it holds me accountable! Here's to a new healthier ME! Cheers!

We got SNOW!

Tuesday we were warned of possible snow flurries but nothing like what we ended up getting-SNOW/ICE! The kids school let out early so I left work to take them to the sitters house and come back to work. As soon as I arrived back to work I was told we were leaving for the day. I headed back to get the kids, headed home to play in the snow and of course take a few pictures! I had been in contact with Adam throughout this time and never once thought he wouldn't make it home until around 4:30 that afternoon I realized he would in fact NOT be home that night. At that point I began to worry if he would have to sleep in the car or if he would be able to find  a warm place to spend the night.

Frozen Snot.

A Happy Girl.

A ill momma kitty.

He made it to the Brookwood Mall exit, got off after sitting for a good while and parked his car in Brookwood Mall parking lot. His supervisor met him there and they made a plan for the night. He finally made it home yesterday morning safe and sound! This was defiantely a snow I will never forget!
