One on top of another

I spend most of my time wondering why I get so many projects going at one time. I've always done it.

1. Paint shelves-done.
2. Paint mantle-in the works.
3. Put entertainment center in and rearrange the living room-done.
4. Clean living room after everything is in place-yeah I'm working on it.
5. Clean garage.
6. Organize Connor's clothes by size and put in tubs...put tubs in storage shed...working on it.
7. Put the 4-5 loads of laundry that is currently on couch and in chair away...yeah that's never ending...but working on it!
8. Organize Avery's clothes by size...working on it.
9. Pack diaper bag.
10. Pack my bags and Adam's for hospital.
11. Clean back porch off...again.
12. Wipe down kitchen cabinets.
13. Clean hall closets out.
14. Order stuff for Connor's FOURTH birthday party.
and the list could go on and on...

Right now first in line are the ones that we already have the supplies for=NO COST, just time. Next up on the list is getting our mantle painted. As seen here this side of the room is already looking much lighter! I couldn't be more pleased with the way the shelves turned out! We also scored a entertainment center-FREE and put it up Sunday. It's a project I will take on after Avery comes (many weeks after Avery comes). I want to paint it white too! It's in great condition with only a few scratches and when you add FREE to it, it looks even better! We also have more storage space so that means that tub full of movies now has somewhere to go and Connors smaller clothes have somewhere to go too! I'm slowly cleaning the garage out and feel so much better about how everything is turning out.

It's amazing how much I want to do around the house before Avery comes but realizing quick I don't have the energy/time to do them!

These shelves were # 100000000 on my to do before Avery arrives list...We finally got them painted and put back into the living room. I love how it lightens up that side of the room!!
Next up is the mantle. I can't wait...we have a busy weekend coming up with a birthday party and Easter Sunday but I plan on painting it next and Laynee's and Avery's room is next on the list too!

So what do YOU think??? I'm trying to let them get good and dry before I start loading them up with stuff!

Room for two

We received the bedding last week for Avery and the brown couldn't have been more perfect when matching Laynee's bedding. I love it! Laynee loves it! (BIG plus) and she says that Avery will love it too-so we have a win win situation! While I haven't choosen the yellow paint for the walls yet I have one in mind and so the search for the wall/room decor begins. My first stop why http://www.etsy.com/  of course! Here are a few of my favorites...

I can't make up my mind between these two wall decals...

I love this wall art...she custom prints them to match your bedding etc.

This lil' man owl is so cute!

so...seeing what are my favorites have you seen any cute owl stuff or anything that would look cute in their room!?

A decision has been made

I ordered this bedding today off ebay, saved like 20-30$ but target has it too! That's reason # 10000000 why I love ebay!
I hope I love it in the room with Laynee's owl bedding cause for right now that's what we are going with! The other white/brown polka dot had bad reviews are far as the brown color etc. This one had good ones! The only thing its lacking is a crib skirt...I may order a white one I found on ebay...
That's one more thing I can check off my ongoing list! Happy Friday Everyone!

Houston, we have a problem

Since we live in a 3 bedroom house, Avery must share a room with one of the two kiddos-the decision was easy LAYNEE until the Avery was a boy. Now I am having a hard time deciding on bedding for Avery, wall color etc. The furniture in Laynee's room is all white, so that was a easy decision...the hard decision is matching something to Laynee's bedding OR buying new bedding for Laynee and Baby Avery...the cheapier route would be buy for one only but I cannot make up my mind at all. This is the bedding that I feel in love with a couple of weeks/months back...

and this is Laynee's bedding....I scared about the all white yes but do I love it of course I do! so far this is the only one that is plain enough to "go" with Laynee's bedding...if you have any bedding ideas send them my way I am in desperate need of help!!! Maybe I should just change her bedding and go with a solid???

next problem is the wall color, Laynee's only request so far is NO BLUE on the walls...I was thinking a pail yellow...what do ya think?

Shared Space

As many of you know we have a THREE bedroom house. With money a issue and knowing that we have all three rooms occupied I am racking my brain as to how to split a nursery/kid room and it still be cute. We find out what Baby # 3 is the first week of March and from then on I will be searching for a baby bed-white for Laynee's room and cherry wood for Connors room(depending on which gender the baby is) among other things. All this on a tight BUDGET! I know if it's a girl, Laynee's room will get a complete make over, from the walls being painted to the floors being laid. If any of you have seen any siblings rooms that you could shoot my way for ideas, it would be helpful! Either way I think I'm in love with this bedding! I think it would work for a boy or girl! What do you think?

Home Place

Sunday I visited the old home place although the reminder of it is far from a home. The house is gone, the weeds are growing up around everything remaining and it could almost be mistaken for someone elses home place, not mine. Many of family gatherings were there inside and outside but nothing is left, nothing but memories. Precious memories. Levi, Cole and Laynee's first were there, from Easter to Christmas they celebrated most of their first with family in the home I grew up in. Oh how I wish I could go back into the house, just one last time, taking nothing but a memory. I got out only for a moment to look around. The pool where Levi, Cole and Laynee swim on hot summer days is over taken with weeds, you can't even see the steps to the pool. The driveway is washed out and has turned into a road less traveled. The song The house that built me brings back so many memories and I've looked through many of my pictures trying to remember the exact details of the house from beginning to its end.

What do you remember about your "home place"?

Fireplace/Brick Wall

Updated: My walls are an off white and the wall opposite of the fireplace is a light khaki color.
(pic. from Laynee's Party)

The question is should I paint the brick? I hate this wall-yes these brick take up an entire wall. Should I paint it...if so what color? I need your help! I plan on taking down the brass trim too.

Laynee and Doors...

We've lived in our house for 6 years! We still have alot to do! When we found out we were pregnant with Connor we moved Laynee into the "play room", it was far from being finished. The further along I became the less I wanted to do in her room. We got the walls painted and left it at that. That meant we still had off white doors and trim! I have finally started painting her trim and doors. Last night I took down her closet door and bedroom door to start painting them. I got 2 coats on one side...that meant the doors didn't get put back up. Laynee decided she couldn't sleep with out doors so we didn't! She kept me up for half the night. I was almost to the point of hanging the doors back up unfinished but didn't. She made it through the night after waking up a couple of times and I seriously think its all in her head! Either way I plan on going home and trying to finish the trim and doors so that I can get them hung and hopefully get a fulls night sleep! Oh if it wasn't for the little things...
