31 week update and other ramblings

or should I say 33 week update? Today Dr. D said that I was measuring 33 weeks,  I'm not suppose to be 31 weeks until sunday...Adam might be right when he said this was going to be our biggest baby yet (we might have a early delivery also). My Sugar was fine, blood pressure was great and I had actually lost 1 lb because of watching what I eat because of my blood sugar. All in all this appt. went great. I told her of concerns I had of late at night back pain and cramping and shortness of breathe but other than that I walked with having a great 31 33 weeks update.

Laynee completed 1st grade this week and Connor completed 3 year old Pre K. I can't believe I have a 7 year old and 3.5 year old all while expecting our 3rd. Growing up I knew I wanted kids but a number was never mentioned. Man, how time changes everything. I never dreamed I will soon have THREE kiddos.

With that being said we cleaned out Laynee and Avery's room yet again and still have a ways to go before it will be ready but it makes me feel better knowing that we are atleast half way there. We have everything we need except for a few small things, either way we are prepared for a new baby. Mentally, I'm exhausted but look forward to holding this ball of energy that has been growing for months on end. Connor wants to go get him from the "hospital where babies come from" NOW and Laynee is dying to see what he looks like. I personally can't wait to see what everyone bets on the weight for this lil' guy. I still have the bets from when Laynee was born and we skipped out on it when Connor was born.

Plans for the weekend is to clean the house alittle, rest ALOT and clean out Connor's closet and the monster of a pile of toys. Everyone have a safe Memorial Day Weekend-I'm sure we'll have pictures to share!

Half way there!

(sick with sinus/allergies, smiling like a chess cat cause hubby is taking pic...it is what it is)

at TWENTY weeks I'm are half way through our 3rd pregnancy! I think I've gained a total of 3lbs. But from the looks of my belly it seems like so much more! My butt is slowly disappearing...not sure how weight shift happens but it does when your pregnant.

Baby Avery is quite the little mover and doesn't like for his "area" to be distrubed. Insert-mommy must watch how much she eats at one sitting, must watch how she lays in the bed to sleep and def. how she sits or squats.

We are still debating on the bedding but I think I have it narrowed down on just two but waiting just to make sure I don't "come across" something else.  I'm certain on the wall color: YELLOW. We just have to go pick it out. I'm still not happy with the set up of Laynee and Avery's room so I'm pretty sure next weekend we'll move some stuff around just to see.

So far we've gotten a car seat, boppy pillow, bassinet (that we used with Laynee and Connor), swing and pack n play. We've also started buying diapers, some outfits, pacifers and bottles...I'm enjoying seeing baby things in the house once again and the kiddos are starting to ask alot of questions. #1 question from Connor is when can we get the baby out? Laynee's #1 is will I be able to hold and feed him all by myself? Umm well see...
Happy Sunday everyone!

Apple Pie

Last night I craved a Jack's apple pie...Adam went and waited several minutes for them to "cook" one since they only had lemon and peach ready...for those who know him he isn't known for his patience. He waited and my apple pie from Jack's (that I just had to have) was hot and oh so good!

That's only one of the many reasons I love this man...

More options.

Option 1: Laynee's bedding she already has...

For Avery's bed...

Option 2:
For Laynee's bed...

For Avery's bed...

Option 3:

For Laynee's bed...

or this one (not sure how the yellow's would match...)

For Avery's bed...found in the neutral section what do you think, does it scream girl?

Option 4:

For Laynee's bed...

For Avery's...

Which option would YOU choose? (if any)

Houston, we have a problem

Since we live in a 3 bedroom house, Avery must share a room with one of the two kiddos-the decision was easy LAYNEE until the Avery was a boy. Now I am having a hard time deciding on bedding for Avery, wall color etc. The furniture in Laynee's room is all white, so that was a easy decision...the hard decision is matching something to Laynee's bedding OR buying new bedding for Laynee and Baby Avery...the cheapier route would be buy for one only but I cannot make up my mind at all. This is the bedding that I feel in love with a couple of weeks/months back...

and this is Laynee's bedding....I scared about the all white yes but do I love it of course I do! so far this is the only one that is plain enough to "go" with Laynee's bedding...if you have any bedding ideas send them my way I am in desperate need of help!!! Maybe I should just change her bedding and go with a solid???

next problem is the wall color, Laynee's only request so far is NO BLUE on the walls...I was thinking a pail yellow...what do ya think?

Mason Avery

Friday we learned are 3rd baby will be a BOY! I cried, Laynee put on her pouty face and Connor and daddy grinned from ear to ear. We are all excited although Laynee was dead set on "baby Avery" being a GIRL! We are still up for debate on if he will be called Mason or Avery, so far Avery is winning only because that's what we have been calling him for a couple of weeks now and it seems only far that we continue to call him Avery. Connor wants to know when we can get him out and Laynee still gets the pouty face every now and then but I think it will grow on her the closer to time for Avery to arrive.

Everything was healthy and I now know why I felt the baby "all over" we have one long legged child on our hands and with the looks of his daddy we just know he will be tall! It looks like Connor will be the only one that takes after his short momma! ha! We still have a due date of July 31st but Dr. C said that she will do a c section up to 7 days prior to the due date as long as everything is going smoothly. We haven't quite decided on a date and will have to wait til closer to time to see how everything goes.

I'm relieved to know what we are having and anixous to start buying up so that we can have everything ready. The bedding is still up in the air just because the baby will be sharing a room with Laynee and it has to be neutral color that she loves also since she does need some say in the situation. We have already gotten and bought so much and thankfully most of it was leaning toward a boy all along.

(he had his fist balled up at us and seemed to be trying to sit up already?)

(his lil' hiney)

(yeah not sure what happen to that 160 something heart beat just 4 short weeks ago)

Happy Sunday everyone!

Wordless Wednesday (almost)

Since I haven't been very good at documenting my 3rd pregnancy and lets just face it I wasn't with the other two either. I decided to try my hand at a self portrait picture in the mirror...um yeah note to self, clean mirror before taking your picture. HA! After the attempt pretty much failed, I had Laynee take my picture. After all I do want some pictures of me and Baby Avery. I'm 18 weeks and this pregnancy seems to be flying by! Is it just me or do I look twice the size I am in the second one...another note to self, let Laynee take picture next time!

A family name

Yesterday we decided on a name....whether we have a BOY or GIRL. The baby's name will be

A-V-E-R-Y!

It's a family name on Adam's dads side of the family. His uncle James "Jim" Avery has the name, his uncle Avery "Clev" Cleveland, his cousin Jean Avery (female) and his Great Grandfather Robert Avery all shared the same name. We haven't decided on a second name if the baby is a girl but she will be called Avery either way. For a boy name we have decided on Mason Avery. We will call him Mason. It's definiently set in stone! I'm excited to start calling this baby something besides baby or "it". Another similiarity or "family thing" is we (as in our family of 5) will all have a name that starts with an "A"! That was a big deal for Adam not to leave this baby out on the "A" name! Only four more weeks and we will know if we have a BOY or GIRL!!! So from now on I guess I can start referring to baby # 3 as Baby Avery!

Really-I have no idea.

At first I had that gut feeling that it was a girl. But the further along I get the more I am really not sure. I was right on Both Connor and Laynee and the chinese chart was right on both of them as well. This time the chinese chart says a girl but so many other things point to a boy. I found this online and thought it would be fun to compare.

**With Laynee I was all belly, I looked as though I had a beach ball under my shirt. With Connor I gained all over....
It's a boy if:

* You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy.

* Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute.

* You are carrying the extra weight out front.

* Your belly looks like a basketball.

* Your areolas have darkened considerably.

* You are carrying low.

* You are craving salty or sour foods.

* You are craving protein -- meats and cheese.

 * Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy.

* The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy.

* Your hands are very dry.

* Your pillow faces north when you sleep.

* Dad-to-be is gaining weight right along with you.

* Pregnancy has you looking better than ever.

* Your urine is bright yellow in color.

* Your nose is spreading.

* You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves in circles.

* You are having headaches.

* You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number.

It's a girl if:

* You had morning sickness early in pregnancy. (and still having it)

* Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute.

*You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear.

* Your left breast is larger than your right breast.

* Your hair develops red highlights.

* You are carrying high.

* Your belly looks like a watermelon.

* You are craving sweets.

* You are craving fruit.

* You crave orange juice.

* You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy.

* You are moodier than usual during pregnancy.

* Your face breaks out more than usual.

* You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread.

* Your breasts have really blossomed!

* Your pillow faces south when you sleep.

* Your urine is a dull yellow color.

* You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves from side

* You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number.

Today I went to the doctor.
I met one of the new Doctor's, Dr. E.
She was extremely nice.
I lost 2 lbs.
I was reminded to eat, eat and eat.
I was also reminded to stay away from anything sweet (since it makes me throw up).
Dr. E's nurse B was extremely nice too.
We found out what we are having March 4th, I CANNOT WAIT!
The baby's heartbeat was in the 160's...umm wonder what that means?
I have a UT, I swear they are 10 times worse when you are pregnant!
Dr. E said it very well could be the baby I've been feeling ALREADY esp. with my experience! ha!
Happy Friday Everyone!

We go way back

Remember this post? We'll here is the story behind who else is pregnant! We go way back..as in Kindegarden! The day I called to tell her (Marie) I was pregnant, she told me she thought she was too! Threw many doctors appts. and now a confirmed ultrasound with a due date of August 24th she is PREGNANT too! Way back in october of last year her mother said how "fun" it would be for us both to be pregnant, not knowing a couple months later we would be! We recently met up at our house for pizza and adult conversation while the kiddos played and I failed to get a picture of us together pregnant! This is her fourth kiddo and our third but both our third pregnancies (she's got twins). I can't wait to compare pregnancies and to find out what these babies are! I should find out the first of March and she should shortly after maybe April! It's going to be an exciting next couple of months. I just hope I get to feeling better SOON! Just because I don't like to post with out pictures here is one we took last year...Happy Monday everyone!

11 weeks and counting

Sunday I was 11 weeks. I got to see baby #3 again via ultrasound on Friday. It was a surprise to me and the baby wiggled around showing that it had arms and legs! Baby #3's heartbeat was great and everything still measured the same. I have not gained any weight since last 4 week check up, although looking at the size of my belly you would have thought it! I have went from nasuea to throwing up in a matter of days and have also have the stomach virus this past week. Needless to say I am so ready for this week to be over. Baby # 3 tends to not like anything sweet but loves sour stuff along with salty. This week at work has not been fun esp. hugging using the toilets at work-YUCK! Dr. C says I should start to feel better in about 2 weeks when I hit the 2nd trimester.

this is exactly what baby # 3 looked like Friday except she/he did move his arms and legs alot! We may have another Connor man on our hands-Watch out world!

Shared Space

As many of you know we have a THREE bedroom house. With money a issue and knowing that we have all three rooms occupied I am racking my brain as to how to split a nursery/kid room and it still be cute. We find out what Baby # 3 is the first week of March and from then on I will be searching for a baby bed-white for Laynee's room and cherry wood for Connors room(depending on which gender the baby is) among other things. All this on a tight BUDGET! I know if it's a girl, Laynee's room will get a complete make over, from the walls being painted to the floors being laid. If any of you have seen any siblings rooms that you could shoot my way for ideas, it would be helpful! Either way I think I'm in love with this bedding! I think it would work for a boy or girl! What do you think?

Let's just face it

I'm not ready for 2011.
My house fits a family of four with room still being needed. Our finances are in no shape for a third child. Me nor my body was quite ready to be pregnant again. But let's just face it, it happened. I couldn't be more nervous about a third child, one I have never dreamed of. Two was my limit with that... what would it be like always in the back of my head, but just as content to hold someone else's newborn. How will I love three children the same but yet different? How will I spread my mommy time between the three? Will Connor still feel his and my connection that only a mother and son feel? Will he know that I love him just the same? Will Laynee know that she was the first born, my little Laynee Bug, my helper, Connor's second mother? Will she feel lost in all the shuffle of our family of five life? Will I remain sain during all of this? Will I still manage to find time with Adam...to just laugh...All these things I have no idea. Connor has took a shift in his bed routines and feels that if he says "I miss you", that will grant him permission to nap with mommy and go nite nite with mommy. I think he realizes something is changing soon and that he will no longer be "THE BABY". Laynee often ask questions about my pants and why the look the way they do, she often comments on the size of my belly and reminds me its not fat, its a baby. I find myself looking in the mirror and wondering how we are already 10 weeks into this pregnancy and still how far we have to go. With all this rambling being said, let's just face it, we'll somehow manage just fine. I'm welcoming 2011 with a open mind if though I'm not ready for it!

Baby # 3: Eight Weeks

Photobucket

Friday, December 10, 2010

Last night I received this from the kiddos...Laynee's idea!
Connor got "dressed up" to sing Christmas Carols to the Senior Citizen Center in Vincent.

and we found out we are 6 weeks, 5 days with baby #3!
Everything looked perfect. If I have a C Section will be determined closer to time for baby # 3 to arrive since I"ve delivered both ways. I don't care for c sections! :( If I have calculated correctly we should find out what Baby # 3 is in March...maybe April!
BABY # 3's DUE DATE IS JULY 31st!

First Ornament for a Family of 5

This past weekend my friend Kelley stopped by with a sweet gift.  She brought a oranment for us with all four of us (me pregnant) and "We're Expecting" at the bottom.

 On the other side it reads "The Buchanan Family"!

We love it Kelley, thanks so much for the sweet gift!

Party of Five.

Yes it's true in a few short months we will be a party of five. For those that know me, I was on the fence with having another one and Adam of course wanted more. The fence has been knocked over and we are now expecting our 3rd baby. Still in shock, but excited none the less. We will find out all the details on the 10th of this month. (I can't hold such exciting news all to myself!) Don't expect weekly updates from me but do expect some...maybe monthly updates. As far as the gender we have no idea but the chinese chart did say it was a GIRL! The chart was correct on Laynee and Connor so we shall see. Laynee wants a girl and Connor wants a "baby to hold". Me and Adam only want HEALTHY, but I would love a girl and Adams says he doesn't think he could handle another mama's boy! (Connor is a extreme mama's boy!) I go to the doctor Friday to find out for sure how far along I am so I will be sure to update then. Until then I hope the morning sickness stays away cause it has not been missed at all. :)
