Amos and a Letter from Santa

Amos-Daddy came up with the name after he went weeks with out one. We forgot his name from last year and seeing that no one could think of it daddy came up with "Amos" the kids like it so he's stuck with it. Maybe we'll remember it come next year or maybe we'll have to think of a new name...the kids didn't seem to care either way just as long as he shows up.

And so what has Amos been up he has...

* Meeting the Turkey on Thanksgiving night.
* In the window seal.
* So far its been in the living room in several places.
* In the bathroom using mommy's tooth brush to smear toothpaste all over the sink (one of my pet peeves). Laynee declared that he needed to be spanked for doing it. Ha!
* In the kitchen hanging from a key on the wall.
* Hanging from the chanderlier in the kitchen.
* Playing with Connors trains and race cards along with papa smurf.
* Hooking up with the tooth fairy leaving sweet notes on how beautiful Laynee is without her TWO front teeth.
* Sitting in a vase full of fake snow and little people.
* Swinging in Avery's swing.
* Eating Daddy's Connor's candy.
* Sitting on the Fridge.
* Eating Chips.

Not only have we been entertained with our elf this year but Santa mailed the oldest two sweet letters straight from the north pole. Laynee immediately blushed and Connor squealed with excitement and could not wait to see what it said.

It's not to late to personalize your very own Santa letter for FREE here. Print it and mail it off! Trust me you'll thank me later!

Oh Happy Day!

("cabbage patch dimples" and she gets prettier everyday!)

Sunday afternoon the weather was perfect and keeping the kids on the porch was no longer a option so we headed "all the way outside". For a couple of years (3) I've been able to contain Connor on the back porch with him thinking he was outside while all the time he was on the back porch were I could still be inside doing my normal stuff-house cleaning, washing/folding etc. We'll the time has come and he now tells me he wants to go all the way outside! I laugh everytime. So sunday afternoon we went all the way outside and played on the swing set, trampoline and "saw horse" (best purchase to date). Connor still had his pj shirt on and Laynee sleeps in tshirts most of the time so she still had hers on as well. It was that kind of lazy I don't feel good day.

They played for awhile but Connor and me are fighting a cold and not long into he was ready to go inside (so was I). We live close to the road so there is no letting the kiddos play outside with out supervision. I long for the day we move (insert me jumping up in the air) away from the road and away from our crazy neighbors.

(Connor pouting cause he wanted mommy to push him not Laynee. Laynee looking away dodging the camera!)

It was a happy day even though we didn't stay out long, didn't feel great and didn't get all dressed up!

He talked me into it...

Connor has had this hotwheels WATER racetrack since Christmas...well tonight he finally talked me into letting him play with it in the tub...(insert I haven't felt well in weeks and dad is a in and out of the tub kinda guy). Well it was going good, as you can see; until it came time to get out of the tub...all that fun was history...see pics. Yes it got ugly and then extremely ugly when Laynee got her turn...of course in the end they made up...well sort of!

Stocking Stuffers

This year and probably last year too I've found myself struggling to "stuff" Connors stocking. Little girls are fun. Always full of nail polish, hair accessories, bubble bath stuff etc. Laynee's is already packed out. Connor is only half way there, if that.

(picture above as nothing to do with this post! I just think our Sally Mae is so cute!)

With that being said...
 What is something you put in your little boys stockings or something that can go for both boy and girl????

Needing you and faking it!

I NEED YOU!
Way past bed time this lil' fellow sneaks into our bedroom and tells me each night he needs me! I give him a huge and TRY to send it back to his bed, it doesn't work...he repeats I NEED YOU, this time with a little more of the head turned and a sweeter expression on his face. So...I let him go night night on daddy's pillow...he quietly rubs my face until he's to tired he falls asleep. Once daddy comes to bed he puts him in his bed. This has been our night for a couple of nights. It def. melts a momma's heart to be needed so!

FAKE IT!
she doesn't play with baby dolls, only stuffed animals...

This sweet girl has learned to FAKE IT! She has only gotten away with it once when I got a call from the teacher to come and get her cause she was sick. She had no fever so I took her to the sitters in which she ran wild the rest of the day-so much for being sick! Earlier this week she was taking her time getting ready as she often does and approached me in the bathroom with I think I'm gonna be sick once I get to school...I told her that she could have tummy meds but was going to school... I gave her tummy meds and off to school she went and she was fine. She tries to fake it several times a week...she seems so young to already know how to FAKE IT! ha!

New Ideas

I got alot of my ideas for Laynee's and Connor's spring/summer clothes from here. I love their clothes just can't afford them! I recently found alot of the same or close to fabric off etsy and ebay and you can usually find blank no logo polos from wal-mart...I haven't looked in wal-mart but instead decided to look on ebay first! So far I have one two shirts for 3.00each NWT! I'm so excited. The pictures on their site really isn't showing what they are doing but their catalog did. They are putting the initials where the logos usually go! It's so cute! I love it! To look for new items on ebay all you do is put in the size you are looking for and nwt (new with tags). So far this year I found Laynee puddle jumper sandals (two pair) for 30$ total! They were 15$ each!

Photo Session with Missy Jones Photography!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Missy Jones at Botancial Gardens! Connor recently won a "little cutie" contest and she photographed both my little cuties saturday! She posted them here on her blog and on FB. I have already received the proofs and love each and everyone! It was a beautiful day for pictures and everyone was out and about at the botancial gardens! I can't wait to get the pictures back! Thank you Missy for your patience with my two kiddos!

Our weekend

Friday night we were all in bed early. Saturday morning we were up bright and early from all being well rested. Laynee spent the day with Pawpaw and Diane and Connor spent the day with Pawpaw Gowers. Me and Adam made a trip to Cracker Barrel and Wal-mart, it was kinda weird with no kids...that night we made chili and had a couple of people over for a game of cards but instead we ended up playing another game which was much more fun. Sunday morning we woke up to snow on the ground and ate breakfast and then went outside to see what it was all about. Not long into it Connor was not happy. Everytime the wind blowed he cried. So me and him went inside while Adam and Laynee played awhile longer. Click on the picture above to see more!
