A party for you, Levi!

Due to Levi being at his mom's on his birthday and the weekend after we celebrated his birthday a little late. His request was a chocalate cake and it did not disappoint!

Trying to make him smile...he has a thing about not smiling for the camera but I somehow manage to get atleast one out of him

It was also the p-e-r-f-e-c-t day to play outside. Adam got out HIS BB gun and made a target out of an old box and away they went!

Happy 12th Birthday, Levi! I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Thankful for time with Family

This year Thanksgiving fell on my 31st birthday. We celebrated by doing the normal Thanksgiving Day activities which include a trip to Aunt Judy's and then off to Grandma's. We left that morning around 11 and didn't return til around 9ish. It was a long day. We ate way to much, played even harder and only woke up Friday morning to do it all again with my side of the family plus some of Adam's! We decided to do it at our house and invite both our dads, Adam's brother Alex, both my nephews, my aunt Bec and Wendy and her husband, Michael. We had a house full with plenty of food! Friday afternoon we managed to get our decorations up. This year I decided to use one of my great grandmothers (mawmaw's) old quilts as the tree skirt. I love how it looks and reminds me of her everytime I look at it. It's as though she's there with us.

I only managed to snap a few pictures Thursday morning and one or two from Friday. Being a mother of three and a hostess was busy work! :)

(four of the five cousins-Avery was busy taking a bottle!)

Fun times at the Zoo

Saturday we managed to make a trip to The Birmingham Zoo. It was such a nice day, the weather was perfect for being outside! Although part of the zoo is "under construction" we still managed to see alot of animals, ride the train and make it home with smiles still on everyone's faces. I was one exhausted momma, but managed to make it all day. We took the umbrella stroller for Connor thinking he MIGHT need it and boy was I right. He would ride until we saw a new animal get out and look and back in he went. He was so funny, everyone was saying Connor's being lazy and he would just smile. Our favorite was watching the tiger come up to the window and scratch his head on the rocks by standing on his hind legs. The kiddos thought that was so funny and when he walked right up to the window they got really quite. I think Connors favorite thing was to ride the train, he loved it. I caught a sweet picture of him holding my hand on the train when it would speed up but I'm saving that one for wordless wednesday. I am really at a loss of words for some of the sweet things that boy does! He is a momma's boy through and through!
