Christmas Eve Eve

This year we started celebrating Christmas on the friday before with my Aunt, Cousin Wendy (and husband Michael), Levi, Cole and Clay. We had "Dawg's Famous Stew" and to many desserts to choose from. The kids couldn't wait to open presents! Avery was just excited that there were even more kids to watch.

While waiting on everyone to arrive we had a visit from Santa on the local fire truck! I told the kids he was making sure of where they lived since they we're on the nice list! They couldn't have been more excited!

Avery always has this "shocked" look on his face everytime I use the flash (our living room has terrible lighting).

I tried to finally get a picture of all 5 of the cousins but everytime atleast one of them wasn't looking. I love Avery in this picture. He thought Uncle Clay was a pretty funny guy!

After all the gift opening Laynee and Bec enjoyed a fun game that Laynee got from her.

I love Christmas time. We had a great meal, good desserts and even more fun playing the Wii that we got from Bec for a family gift.

What was even better is that it was a laid back evening!

Christmas with Bec Bec 2010

This year we had our Christmas with Bec earlier than we normally do. We usually get together for Christmas Lunch. This year it was just my brother and his family, us and Bec. We had Chili and Adam's famous Cheesecake.

After eating we opened presents...

All in all it was not our normal Christmas but it was just fine. One down many to go! Merry Christmas Everyone!

I gotta feeling

Today as we ran to the car for school/work it felt more like winter, it was chilly. I remembered why I should have cranked the car before leaving. I  remembered why I needed to put my jacket on before getting in the car and I remembered why I should check the kids shoes before we get in the car-yes Laynee's shoe was untied (once again).

I also got that Christmas is right around the corner feeling...have you got that feeling yet? I love Christmas and love getting together with family, eating yummy food and remembering the love ones that are no longer with us and traditions that we use to have together! I gotta feeling...you know Christmas is right around the corner kinda feeling!

Christmas Part II -Nannie Darlene and Family

Christmas afternoon Nannie, Clay, Tina and the boys came over to open gifts. Altough I didn't get many pictures mainly because of all the tearing open of gifts and such I didn't get many pictures! I did manage to get a pic of Connor is his new Curious George house shoes and Laynee with her Hannah Montana bed sheets.

Christmas Part I -Santa Claus came to town!

Laynee woke up first which is hard to believe since Connor is always the first up in the mornings!

Christmas Eve- Part II

After a much needed nap we headed to Grandma's. We were one of the first there so Laynee and Connor got to open their BIG gifts! Connor was excited about his until he realized it actually moved instead of sitting still. Laynee loved hers-it fit her to a T. She doesn't play with baby dolls, barbie dolls are anything else girly (sniff, sniff) but she loves ANIMALS! Grandma got her a vet table and she has not stopped playing with it!

Another favorite was Laynee's guitar and Jeff Connor's drum set! Connor completly took over and had to be reminded several times it wasn't his! We've been told he MUST have one! (I could wait for a lifetime on that one).

Christmas Eve-Part I

Christmas Eve we woke up and got ready for Nannie Cains! We enjoyed lots of yummy food and then opened gifts, played, posed for pictures and then left for a quick nap before going to Grandma's.

This picture includes everyone except for Levi who informed me he didn't want to take any pictures! I love their expressions!

This picture we managed to get Levi in even though he isn't smiling. Cole on the other hand is a ham and loves to take pictures! We even managed to get Clay in this one!

I am pretty sure these two were saying CHESSEE in this one!
